I'm on Windows XP. Thanks How can windows picture and fax viewer download anything? The version that is part of my XP Home system doesn't have that functionality. I suspect that something else is at work here and WPFV is just where things end up. I use WPFV quite a lot and have never seen the kind of things you speak of. :) |

| 477173 | 2006-08-08 22:37:00 | Thinking the same thing, myself, Vince. b.graham, it just sounds like it is looking at files from an internet temp directory or something. The VIEWER is just that. It doesn't download anything. Q. How do you get the viewer to run? |

| 477174 | 2006-08-08 22:54:00 | Start - Run - type: regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll And press Enter Godfather's instructions may be correct, but I would think again about your problem before doing this change. |
