| 477103 | 2006-08-08 08:54:00 | Just seen my first USB DSL200 installation (Yuk). Anyway, since all my previous experience has been with ethernet coupled modem/routers, it took me a bit to get to terms with it. Thought it should dial up itself till I thought about it! OK, stop laughing now. But, is it normal for the (IHUG) verifying user/password phase on this modem to be erratic? Takes from 3-5 attempts, usually, to get the verification. Rang IHUG and their helpline went dead never to return! It's hard to find a 5min job in this game. |

| 477104 | 2006-08-09 07:18:00 | IHUG normally works A1 first time everytime, however I am also experiencing the same problem and I suspect that they have some major problems validating user logins. I also saw a message that there helpdesk is overloaded due to the above. I have just tried to access their website and can't get onto that either. | Mike_C (7229) | ||
| 477105 | 2006-08-09 07:36:00 | from the NZ Herald Wednesday August 9, 2006 "Internet users signed up with ihug were left without access for nearly three hours yesterday. The outage began at 5.30am after a configuration error by an overseas supplier which made a change during maintenance. The change affected the ihug network's access to overseas sites. All of ihug's services - email, broadband and dial-up internet connections - were affected. Between 40,000 and 60,000 customers could have been without services. Spokeswoman Cherie Lacey said: "We are working with this supplier to minimise the likelihood of this happening again." " |
