477094 2006-08-08 08:40:00 Hi all

I got a slight(understatement) problem . I recently re-formatted my C drive . I also have a D drive which had a folder, which as administrator(i'm the only user of this comp), I denied access, via properties/security, to all to stop anyone who uses the computer from accessing it . Contains account info etc . This was fine as when I wanted access to it I just went properties, security, and uncheck all the deny boxes and so on it went .

Now after reformatting, I am unable to change the status of the folder and get the following message "You do not have permission to view or edit the current permission settings for . . . . , but you can take ownership or change auditing settings"

Is there a way I can reaccess these files?

Cheers
Fatty
