I know for a fact that if you have intergrated GFX you can put an AGP card in there, as I have done this with two of the machines here

I should have clarifyed myself... if you have an AGP slot in the PC but the PC comes with intergrated, THEN you can put an agp GFX card in. The_End_Of_Reality (334)
476927 2006-08-09 05:35:00 What i mean by integrated is that my card was actually part of the motherboard, so it was in an agp slot that was physically in the motherboard, at least that's what the system diagnostic thingy-mi-bob told me and my brainy computer friend said there was no AGP port in there. That was my experience.

Im sorry that i was wrong i just didn't want the same thing happening to this guy.

476928 2006-08-09 06:07:00 What was the brand/model of the PC?

What I think intergrated means is a chip on the motherboard, not an unremovable board, if the diag said there was an AGP slot, there was/should have been, I am not too sure what exactly you mean... but oh well

I have a p3 700 running in an asus cuw-rm, it has an integrated gfx running on an AGP bus(4x 32MB shared :yuck: )....it has no physical port to plug a agp card into...that may be what fishy was meaning as with agp onboard it word report it as having agp......funnily enuff :D

476931 2006-08-09 08:26:00 Oh . . . I see what he means . . . AGP Bus . . . ahh .

Ok, so I was wrong . . . sorry, I have learnt something today :p

They say if you stop learning your dead . . . .

To Fishy . . . . if the image of the mobo in the link suil posted is correct it does have a physical agp port . . . which is also backed up by the fact that Suil's current GFX card is a geforce 4 MX which as far as I'm aware was never integrated into a mobo . . . .

And then theres this link . biostar . com . tw/products/mainboard/board . php?name=M7VIQ" target="_blank">www . biostar . com . tw

If you can afford it Suil, a 6600 is a much better choice (the 6200 is kinda junky), and 1 GB of ram will make a big difference
