| 477867 | 2006-08-11 20:55:00 | ok i know there was a thread like this a while ago but i couldnt find one. well im on a tight budget and would like to build a decent PC that can play games well under or around $1000 without Monitor. What would be a possible setup i could have. I was thinking something with an AMD 3800+ Dual Core AM2. (is it really worth getting dual core?) Is it even possible? | thomas09 (10276) | ||

| 477870 | 2006-08-11 23:34:00 | x2 3800+ Microstar K9N Neo-F Socket AM2 nVidia nForce 550 ATX 7600gs 1gb RAM 120gb hdd some cheap arse case some cheap arse cd drive Total ~$1100 that would be perfectly adequate as a mid range system, however If i was you I would save up to a budget of about $1500 as the performance increases up to about 1.5-2k are exponential |
