| 477897 | 2006-08-14 09:56:00 | A decent games PC. Well start with a CPU about $1500 Video card about the same Ram. at least $1000 You won't get much change from your $1,000. I have a $3,000 machine and I'd clas it as half decent. i dont know what the hell kinda ram cost 1000 bucks but if there is, its a waste, the cpu wont keep up with it anyway. vid card for 1500 dollars? dont think so, 2 top end ones cost that much. cpu for $1500? ha, i laugh at you! the most expensive cpu you can get is Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800 2.93GHz LGA775 @ $2000 and 2nd most expensive: AMD Athlon 64 FX 62, Dual Core Socket AM2 2.8GHz @ $1600 both of which no-one needs and by all means are a rip off. a cheaper chip like amd3800 or 4400 are great, infact, awesome, and once overclocked even better. your an idiot if you think for a ''half decent'' it is $3000... oh maybe if you get dell to build it for you??..ahahahha heres a GREAT computer at a bit more than 2 grand. =============================================== AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+, Dual Core Socket AM2 @ $450 ASUS A8N-SLI SE 939pin Socket AMD Athlon64FX NVIDIA @ $200 GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB PCI Express @ $600 512MB PC3200 DDR400 Memory x4 @ $85 x1 = $340 Seagate 320GB 7200rpm SATA2 3Gb/s 16MB cache @ $230 LG GSA-H10A DVD+RW 16X DVD-RW OEM Black @ $90 a power supply of your choice with at least 400W of power and at 12v 16 amps(at least). $150'ish and a case of your choice which lets say is.. $140? ok that system there will run ANY game at max graphics right now and for about a 6months to a year, then maybe another 7800gtx?.. TOTAL: $2200'ish that is one bloody awesome comp right there. and with overclocking will own even more. |
