478121 2006-08-13 04:44:00 Just out of interest what is better? Socket AM2 or socket 939? Fishy (10540)
478122 2006-08-13 04:55:00 Sorry mate not a reply to your question but where did you hear the following that you posted yesterday:

Re: 5 cents coins??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also if you find a 2005 10c coin they are worth $40
a 2005 20c and 50c are worth between $10 and $20

I really interested where this came from. No catalogues I know list these amounts. Thanks, sorry for hyjacking your thread. Would appreciate a reply and then Ill leave you to it. Thanks

478124 2006-08-13 05:30:00 The AMD roadmap shows a longer life for AM2, so its a no brainer especially as the price and performance is very similar to 939. Battleneter (60)

478126 2006-08-13 21:12:00 AM2. 939 is getting phased out. AM2 is slightly cheaper. And I guess at some stage AM2 performance will improve to beyond 939 mejobloggs (264)
478127 2006-08-13 23:23:00 Ok thankyou guys.
One moore question.
Is it worth me saving up an extra $100 in the long run to get a dual core CPU?
Fishy (10540)
478128 2006-08-14 00:07:00 Yes AM2 would be the way to go. They have a longer life expectancy than socket 939 (mind you AMD have stated that they will contune to support Skt 939 for as long as their consumers are using them)

Yes it is worth saving the extra dosh for a dual core CPU.

cheers
