| 477996 | 2006-08-12 12:09:00 | I Hope you dont mind me asking, why do you want to open up a port? The reason why I am asking is because opening up ports can be a secured issue if you dont know what youre doing. |

| 477999 | 2006-08-12 21:06:00 | I have had the same problem... here is how I solved it, and yes it is in DOS  as long as you type it exact you will be fine. These are the steps, type everything in the "marks" substituting ANY NUMBER for... well any number!! :p this is the rule ID, so something like 5 to avoid any others if there are some, YOUR IP that is the IP of you PC, make sure it is static (manually put into network connections) THE PORT is the port you wish to forward... 1. go run and type "cmd" and press enter 2. Type "telnet 10.1.1.1" and press enter 3. Login to the console using the username admin password admin (or whatever you may have changed the admin password to) 4. Type "create nat rule entry ruleid ANY NUMBER rdr lcladdrfrom YOUR IP lcladdrto YOUR IP destportfrom num THE PORT destportto num THE PORT lclport num THE PORT" press enter 5. Type "commit" press enter 6. Type "exit" - done! Simple as putting a bike together really :p |
