478504 2006-08-14 19:50:00 Spybot finds two spyware entries in Firefox.
Delete them but they just return.

Why does everyone keep praising Firefox?

478505 2006-08-14 20:34:00 um........so YOU know more than millions of users ?.......ah.........WHAT exactly does the scan find ? drcspy (146)
478506 2006-08-14 20:36:00 Because FF is not IE or MS :p

I have never picked anything up... what version are you running? are you sure it is not a third party plugin or extension that is causing this?

Double Click

They both say, "Tracking Cookie (Firefox Default) Double click.ID"/AvenueA.ID

And my Firefox was the latest downloaded two days ago from Mozilla web site.

478509 2006-08-14 21:42:00 Tracking cookies are hardly worth worring about, you will get those double click cookies everywhere, dosent matter what browser you use, unless you block cookies just ignore them. Rob99 (151)
478510 2006-08-14 21:45:00 tracking cookies hardly qualify as spyware, and are downloaded by the websites you are viewing along with the site files.......you CAN block cookies in firefox and tracking cookies in NO WAY equate to firefox itself being 'spyware' lol...... drcspy (146)
478511 2006-08-14 21:49:00 Some of those malware detection programs use methods whereby they scan for the type of activity that malware (viruses, trojans, spyware etc) utilises. Some kocher software also accesses the same areas and performs the same functions as malware, so I'm thinking Spybot might be picking this up.
Just one of the possibilities.

You shuold run another spyware detection program and see whether it picks anything up as well. Also do a Google search on the files that have been identified as malware.

478512 2006-08-14 21:53:00 Install the adblock extension (along with FiltersetG.updater) - It should probably block those cookies and remove ads of course.. gibler (49)
