| 1406463 | 2015-08-13 04:44:00 | Have been trying for sometime now to download Windows 10 onto my HP 6730b Laptop. It was upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 in 2009. Until recently I used IE as my browser but have recently changed to Firefox as I was experiencing to many problems. Towards the end of the download I get a message telling me that before proceeding further I must delete "HP protectools security manager suite" in attempting to do that I get another message saying I must remove "BIOS configuration for HP ProtectTools" but am unable to locate that and would be reluctant to remove it anyway. I have tried contacting HP but that ran up against a brick wall Any help (but not to technical) would be appreciated. |

Just uninstall ALL the HP bloatware, you laptop will run much better without it (although fingerprint reader may no longer work) Even on new laptops, I allways spend 20-30minutes uninstalling all the manufacturers uneeded bloatware . |
