1396692 2015-03-18 07:01:00 Just been doing some googling on the upcoming S6. I notice that Samsung have done away with the microSD slot, and instead will be offering a choice between 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models. Even more interesting - the battery will not be replaceable. I don't know about you, but to me that seems like a daft move. I bought a Note 4 in November and I've noticed a sharp drop in how long the battery will last already, even on days when I don't use it/barely use it and everything unnecessary is switched off. I'm fully expecting to want to replace the battery well before the phone!

1396693 2015-03-18 08:17:00 I'm not sure I like the sound of that, when my Note 3 played up recently removing the battery was the only way I could get it to go again. Having what's effectively a hard reset option is possibly more useful even than being able to replace the battery. The SD slot is useful too and they charge too much for the extra capacity between models. dugimodo (138)

1396699 2015-03-25 07:49:00 Bold move, but silly in my phone using ways.

The external storage is easily transferrable than other methods and another means of backing up your data. Think they shooting themselves in the foot.

If you want to spend your first time with your phone transferring you things from an old phone to it, I'm sure it would take up valuable time. Also, when the phone craps out, did you really store 128gb online so you could recover from the event.

Great idea Samsung, wish you make more sales than your S5, you'll need to, at that rate.

Cheers,

KK

1396700 2015-03-25 13:52:00 Not that big of an issue Kame, I genuinely can't recall the last time I plugged in a phone and thought "I'd better back this all up", coz it's all automatically backed up and stored online regardless. Plus, Lollipop has easy transfer methods from older phones meaning it's basically automatic.

That said I've got my Z3 here with a $20 32GB MicroSD card in it :D I'll take this any day over any of the Galaxy series phones!

1396701 2015-03-27 03:57:00 Idiots.

Looks like I need to find an alternative next time I'm on the market.

Ive got two S2'S that had the batteries replaced and went onto worthwhile recipients, and I keep 30GB of music on my memory card.
