Every govt promises what it hopes will be vote winning policies in the leadup to a general election; do you call that corruption? Here they are just promising policies in the leadup to a by-election. Pretty sure National said the by-election had bought forward the bridge program, so they're actually being pretty upfront about it. More so than Little trying to tell people to vote for Peters without actually admitting it... |

Most people dont respond well to threats or blackmail, so theyll probably register their disapproval by voting Peters, who in fact is their best chance of getting anything done anyway, simply because if the Nats loose the seat they wont be able to govern alone. Interesting times ahead, go Winnie. :D |
