The cost of this is considerably more than getting a digger in so maybe the person paying doesn't want to pay for that and now going for plan B - the cheaper option and hope you will agree.
You can get good free law advise from your local Community Law office.
Good Luck

1395905 2015-03-09 07:30:00 Just an update. I spoke to the new project manager today. He said the previous manger didnt know what he was talking about.
He seemed a very nice chap and was obviously put in a bad spot.
It also seemed I had to wring info out of him, the info that would make it seem worse. I said put in it writing, just spell out scope & length of disruption & digging etc on the section.

He said they can get access to the back of my section through the neighbors section after removing part of the fence. Im not sure my neighbor has been told the full extent of things either

I find out there will be another manhole erected on my section, this one sticking up out of the ground (the existing one is well out of sight)
And I will loose access to my drive & have to park on the road for some days while they use my drive to assemble up metal drain.
They wanted to leave all the dirt they dig up, (tunneled drain & manhole) , and spread it over the section "level the section out for you" because its too hard to cart away. :groan:

They seemed to think its still all go & wanted to start next week :groan:
Im now thinking, none of this is for my benefit, its for people I dont know & will never meet. I can only come out worse.
So perhaps I should be asking for monetary compensation , I do not want a manhole sticking out of my section. That alone will lessen the value of the property somewhat.

1395906 2015-03-09 07:43:00 The "dirt" might well be clay and who wants clay spread around their section. prefect (6291)
1395907 2015-03-09 07:54:00 Well if you’ve already got a Manhole and Drain on your property, then I’m picking you have an easement on your title as well.

That being the case you probably don’t have much say in the matter. See Winston’s post #13.
