1396628 2015-03-18 08:31:00 I take offense at Catholics & their insistence on eating fish on fridays, how is that the kiwi way when we all eat meat & chippies:p

I can't see what is offensive about Catholics not eating meat on Fridays. It certainly has been the kiwi Catholic way - as well as Catholics worldwide - in New Zealand for the last seventy years that I know of. If that's what they want to do in the name of their religion, let them. It's not causing anyone any problems. Live and let live. Don't be such a bigot.

And learn how to spell the kiwi way: offence, not offense. That's the american spelling and they don't know any better. You should know better than that.

Its also the dates, AFAIK its mostly the Americans who use the Month / Day/ Year format, most other places use Day/Month /Year.
Was in the bank yesterday and heard a person say the date was written by a guy from America, - they are always backwards :)

Now the language police here are rearing their ugly heads. I find offensive that you try to tell me how to spell. If you don't watch out I'll cast a spell on you..

1396632 2015-03-18 22:45:00 Well some religions are certainly strange.

My Church removed my biscuits from the cake sale........again!!!

I don't know what their problem is.......
I just used a dog bone biscuit cutter........
cut them in half and decorated them!!!
I thought they looked rather good!!!

1396634 2015-03-19 02:23:00 .... That's the american spelling ...
which I actually prefer. :-)
american should be capital A , btw . Pot, kettle, black ? :p

And who is to say what is the correct spelling anyway. Language evolves/morphs into something completely different from that of say 200 years ago.
I fully acknowledge my poor spelling and lack of spell check (FF let me down on that one) .
We will all be writing & talking txt speak soon enough, its happening already (now that does annoy me)

1396635 2015-03-19 02:56:00 Sorry but I disagree. as a Buddhist myself I have seen the poster and did not find it offensive. I have seen many statues of the Buddha used as incense holders or as garden ornaments by non Buddhists. Buddha was a man not god. I think MushHead has it right, if they did find it offensive a fine would have been more appropriate. Fastrat (10735)
