1396352 2015-03-15 06:55:00 No problems with the service. Helpdesk was even helpful when I needed them.

Only issue is minor. Apple app for skinny does not work to enable me to top up - it crashes when I try. Have to do this using a browser.

Yeah I can live with that. I'm happy to top up on my laptop if the android app is no better. I think you can set it up to auto top up with a credit card from what I read, which would be better still.

1396354 2015-03-15 21:31:00 Skinny: no issues. They even txt out reminders before any prepay auto payment goes through.
Voicemail charges didnt impress me
"It costs 18c per call to check your voicemail."

I was on 2degrees : they have cheap plans but are rubbish.
2degrees will happily constantly spam me(sometimes the same thing 3x in 1 day), but wouldnt/couldnt send a txt if my prepay was low or an auotopay didnt go through.

I think it is 20c to check voicemail with Spark. It annoys me that you cannot use your free minutes to clear voicemails!
I get a fair bit of text spam from Spark too - not nearly as much as it sounds like you get with 2Degrees, but enough to annoy me, esp if the text is at midnight and wakes me up or it's just advertising.

1396356 2015-03-16 02:32:00 The only text I get from 2D is confirmation of my payment certainly don't get spam from them gary67 (56)
1396357 2015-03-16 17:02:00 If I changed to Skinny from 2DG would I be able to use my existing phone, and also keep my existing number? Greg (193)

Number yes phone depends on if it can be unlocked or not.

For me Skinny is just the other arm of rip off Telecom so won't go there. 2D works for me and I'm happy with what they charge.

If I was a regular Spark customer on contract I wouldn't be happy that my bill was helping keep Skinny costs down just so they could try and put 2D out of business which is what Spark are basically doing.

I asked them to stop sending the stuff and they did. Get none at all now.

Yes.

1396361 2015-03-20 13:53:00 +1 Skinny. You wouldn't regret it.

As for Spark, it's aimed at businesses, Skinny is the other end, aimed at the newer generation. I wouldn't slander them because even though they may seem like rip offs. They do push our technology forward, even if they try and do it strategically, but you can't do these things without money and I could only imagine how far we would have been behind if they weren't here. I guess someone else would have taken their spot in slandering then.

Cheers,

KK
