1395502 2015-03-08 03:23:00 I went to a Chiropractor for years until I realized I was being "farmed" i.e. I was getting fixed just enough so I would be OK for a while and would then have to go back. That said, the guy certainly did fix the symptoms when I had a problem, but I don't think there was any long term help.

I've also been to an Osteopath, who treated me and said "that should be OK, give me a call if you need me again". Quite a different approach. I'm not convinced he has given me long-term help, but he was certainly less rapacious. I got talking to him and he said that a big part of Chiropractor training is the business model they use, which tells us quite a lot I think.

I associate massage with swelling too!.

Oh, you are awful, but I like you.

1395504 2015-03-08 22:10:00 I was sorted out by a good physiotherapist for back problems and would recommend that over an oesteopath. My Doctor actually recommended the cheap chinese massage place at my local mall for a sore neck and swore by it himself. I'm not a big believer in alternative medicine myself though. Those that have been proven I'll try and those that you can try with no real risk or downside, but the rest of the time I'll go the conventional route. dugimodo (138)

1395506 2015-03-12 19:13:00 Well I guess if the woman went to the Osteopath with toothache, then it is not unreasonable to assume she kept her money in her bra and the Osteopath was just checking to leave her a couple of cup sizes smaller. ;) B.M. (505)

That sounds reasonable to me.

1395508 2015-03-12 22:01:00 I'll bet the osteopath had an Irish toothache. Richard (739)
