1395787 2015-03-05 22:25:00 Some sites say it can go to 4 GB (sites that have the ram for it). Toshiba say (I asked them in FB) they said 1 GB. Which I doubt

The Toshiba site tells me bugger all. I managed to find a few drivers under archived files. I also found a few on the windows catalog site

I thought I'll test it, by installing Win 8.1 on it lol. Yup it installed OK. With 512MB on it (after I updated the BIOS).

So what's an easy way to find out how much ram, it can support (it's got 2 slots). Besides obviously buying ram that wont work (if it's over 512 mb)

1395791 2015-03-06 11:28:00 Unless it has a BIOS limitation, the Intel 945GM chipset it apparently has supports up to 4GB.

1395792 2015-03-06 18:57:00 Yup, Zqwerty, thats one of the sites I saw. Can only try I suppose. With 2x 2 GB sticks. Soon find out.

It did have a BIOS limitation before I updated it. Win7 or 8 wouldnt install at all lol. I'm surprised it worked at all with 512 MB. It is a BIT slow with 512 mb. But it's up to date now.

But got everything going. And managed to find the drivers etc.
