479092 2006-08-18 01:18:00 Hi, I booted up the PC this morning, and noticed that there was a hang of about 1-2 minutes on the part of the boot process that lists your drives etc. Usually this would only take a few seconds. I have not made any changes to the boot order that might cause this, and as a precaution have removed any disks, usb devices etc. Any ideas? Kindel (6640)

479096 2006-08-18 02:15:00 Ok thanks. And by 'drives' section, I mean POST. I just couldn't think of the name.

I'm beginning tho think (and I suppose this is a good thing lol) that it may not be HD related. I'll check with Everest to be sure, but scandisk, chkdsk, SANDRA, and my own observations point to the HD being ok. But they don't really provide any results as to drive health as far as I can tell

EDIT: And could I use Seatools? (everest tells me I have a seagate..I hadn't figured out that the ST in the drive id stood for Seagate Technologies lol)
