| 479855 | 2006-08-21 09:14:00 | I have an Enermax Liberty PSU, with the modular drive cables - but as I wish to add an extra drive I realised I cannot: I don't have enough plugs left. I'm only using 2 ODD, 1 FDD and 2 HDD at the moment but the location of the connectors means I can't actually plug anything into the spare plugs. The PSU came with 3 of these cables (1 is used for DVD, CD-RW and Floppy) (1 for 2 SATA HDD) (and one for fans and extra PCI-E motherboard Power) There are 6 plugs on the PSU for these cables, which would make sense to be able to add 3 more. my PSU box also states that it can handle up to 18 drives (I suppose 3 drives per cable @ six cables, which makes sense) But I just can't find anywhere to buy them :dogeye: Does anyone know? |

I would have thought they come with all of them and you use them or not as required. I've asked for you, will post back when I hear. |

| 479861 | 2006-09-07 20:25:00 | Enermax replied: Enermax said each Liberty model (400/500/620W) comes with right cable set EX factory. They advise users not to connect extra cable in case exceeding the power limit. |

| 479864 | 2006-09-08 05:12:00 | That is pretty sad on Enermax's part... my PSU has 6 sockets I should be able to put 6 cables in there! And, like I said before - it could only support the 18 drives max as stated on the box (of my 400 watt model) with 6 cables in total anyway! 18 drives will not fit on 3 cables I only want 1 DVD writer added anyway :D surely it can handle that! |
