| 479806 | 2006-08-21 04:19:00 | Have a 40gig partioned into 2 20gig drive is nearly full but 2nd half is 18gigs free can I cut and paste files from one to other near empty drive or will I have to reformat drive and start again and check where I save things in future :badpc: |

| 479807 | 2006-08-21 04:39:00 | Yes, you certainly can move personal data files from one partition to the other but NOT files in the Program Files folder or program installation files elsewhere . By personal data files I mean those you have created yourself including emails, photos, movies, music, letters, etc etc . I would suggest that you copy all the files to the new partition then when you are satisfied all is well you can delete them from the other drive . |
