2006-08-21 03:59:00 You don't have to be too fussy about the case as long as it has enough ventilation, and then a good PSU. Greg (193)
2006-08-21 04:49:00 I have an aliminium Lian Li case and have never seen a CPU temp over 40C. or GPU over 60c.
Best ventilation I have ever seen.

2006-08-21 05:08:00 I have a $20 case with no sides on it, In fact the psu wasn't even screwed in untill a week ago, it was sitting outside the case.

Never check my temps

2006-08-21 05:10:00 For "ventilation" would it work if I got a case, took a side off it, and put a fan next to it? Not a computer fan but a fan you get when it's hot to cool you down. A chunky mother. Would it? Fishy (10540)
2006-08-21 05:13:00 Sure does, Imo its about the best way to test-run a comp that may have heat related issues, With the onboard sensors reportdly so far out of whack with the real temps I ignore them (uness I have some background info on what they usually report, but even then its still a case of off with the side and point a fan at it) Metla (12)
2006-08-21 08:11:00 I have to say do not get a half tower, get a large full ATX case, this is the mistake I made, I got a half tower case and it is just too small, very hard to work in... The_End_Of_Reality (334)
2006-08-22 01:02:00 I'd go for a Thermaltake xaser of tsunami. They come with half decent PSU's and they look alright hoppo829 (10362)
2006-08-22 01:32:00 good as gold............cheers/... WestMclaren2004 (7303)
