479707 2006-08-20 10:49:00 I have just reinstalled windows XP on an HP Pavilion 514a, everything went fine except the audio drivers have now gone, i have looked everywhere on the web (HP site doesn't supply them) and cannot locate them. The PC was horribly virus riddled so i deleted the HP partion so there are no 'hidden' files left on the drive.
Would anyone have access to these drivers or know where i can get them??

cheers,
borax (7078)
479708 2006-08-20 11:02:00 Have you got a cd for it?

There may also be a hidden partition on this hdd somewhere. Dont ask me where. i wouldnt have a clue.

I couldnt see any drivers on the HP site either.

Which may mean the drivers are on a partition or on a cd.

479709 2006-08-20 11:02:00 this page (h10025.www1.hp.com) indicates a ac97 chipset for sound and a 845GL (Intel) for mother board try going to the intel site see if there are drivers there for that board
or
take the side off there will be a number on the mother board type that into google see what it returns

Here is some info (hardware.mcse.ms)
