2006-08-25 14:37:00 Hi everybody. Well Ihave a Pentium 4 HT3.0 GHz Windows XP sp2, 760 MB Ram. I always used to encode videos with him for like 7 or 8 months and never gave me any kind of problem, like less than a month I had to format my pc and then it started, while encoding he restarts or suts down by itself depending on the program of encode. If I'm using TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress it restarts and if using ImTOO 3 MPEG Enconder it shuts down. I really dont know whats going on cause it encodes videos of 1 minute or 2 minutes lenght but nothing bigger than that. If needed I can post the HijackThis log file here, please someone helpe me :help: Hutz (11044)

2006-08-25 22:41:00 i'm downloading the aida32 and the files are not over 4 GB, it's like 700 mb or less, even combined they dont reach 4 gb, just something like 2,5 ; 3 max. i'll see what aida says and post it here Hutz (11044)
2006-08-26 16:20:00 well the temp in my mother board is 35ºC, my processator is 50ºC and my Aux is 23ºC. Hutz (11044)
2006-08-29 08:50:00 What was the PC doing when you took that temp reading? If it was just idle then thats a very high temp, and chances are you PC is resetting because its overheating. Encoding is very stressful on the CPU, if you PC is overheating or unstable it will definately cause it to crash. Check the temp while encoding video, and if your happy to take the side off touch the HSF and see how hot it is. Pete O'Neil (6584)
2006-08-30 05:52:00 I've had the same when encoding video with Pinnacle Studio, and the problem turned out to be overheating of the CPU. Cleaning the CPU fan (covered in dust...) with the vacuum cleaner solved it for me.... Eend (7932)
