480411 2006-08-24 10:19:00 Hi I looked at a site in Clarks Beach, Auckland for a friends' house that was being built. It was started in February this year and has just been finished. When I found the site it showed a bare section. (January?). My question is ...does any one know how often the view is updated? gradebdan (2186)

480413 2006-08-24 12:01:00 Google Map is up to 1 year out of date according to our area, you have got to remember that it is a free service and unless they get a cloud free photo why update. Arnie (6624)
480414 2006-08-24 18:19:00 I looked at my own address a while back, and the updates are pretty much about 2 months old right now...I will wait to see the next change...

The way I can tell, is by the moving in and out of mobile homes next to me...right now, there are three or four vacancies where there were none two months ago...and GEarth had it in about two months ago, and a newer update just a few weeks ago.

I am here: 33°46'40.50"N, 116°58"30.52"W

Just plug that into GEarth

480415 2006-08-24 22:05:00 More than three years old in the Nelson rural area. Does not show my workshop or carport which I built three years ago. Shows vacant section next door where there has been a house more than two and a half years. Probably more up to date in the US. Scouse (83)
480416 2006-08-25 13:42:00 Google uses public imagery for google earth. Until more up to date photos or until they start doing it themselves, updates could be scarce. My area still shows old pictures from 98-99. Don't trust what you see. anderson3250 (11038)
480417 2006-08-25 23:24:00 It must be at least 12 months out of date here, maybe 18 months, going by the bare land in a sub-division down the road that is now full of houses. FoxyMX (5)
480418 2006-08-25 23:31:00 I looked for some views in the UK and found rather to my surprise that my old area (Blackpool) is reasonably covered but parts of Sussex - just below London have been virtually ignored.
