Heck, there's hope for me yet... already killed the plants, cat's done a runner... but what's a botty boy (and would I be able to sing opera praises in a falsetto if I was one?) :dogeye:

480127 2006-08-23 04:47:00 I have to say, I like the look and feel of Opera and speed however Mozilla firefox is the one for me, simply only because I have never had a page display wrong at all through Firefox and with Opera there is still to many I came across or was told my browser (useing opera) is not supported etc... When every page works / loooks right in Opera I would prob use it full time, untill then Firefox for me oh and also firefox's plugins r gr8 and new ones coming out all the time and much prefer firefox adblocks :)

my 2c

When I read that back to myself it felt as though I was saying all that in one breath lol

480128 2006-08-23 05:02:00 My vote goes to Firefox. I have tried Opera but I don't like the look or feel of opera. It just doesn't turn me on....I will admit the tabs are better in opera.
In firefox you need tabmix plus...To me opera is like a toyota lot's of features
(too bloated IMO) and reliable. Firefox is like an Alfa romeo heaps of fun to drive
but does break down at times.
Adblock plus is a must for firefox.

480129 2006-08-23 05:54:00 You won't get Adblock though but using a Hosts file or Proximitron (sp?) gets around that one.

I use opera, but miss Adblock in firefox

operas version of adblock is "blocked content" and you can use wildcards to do generic blocking. its been around a while, just no GUI untill ver9. personally a host file is better than either as its system wide, it affects the whole pc not just one or two programs.

o..yeah.....opera is the BEST ! ! !

but FF or mozilla will do ok..........anything is better than IE or the IE mods.

Yikes! I thought you were talking about me for a moment, until I got to the botty-boy brigade thing.

If u want to block ads, just right mouse on the site / block content and block it. Thats if ur using v9+.

480133 2006-08-23 09:51:00 I used to use Opera then switched to firefox a couple of years ago. Opera got me completely hooked on mouse gestures but on discovering a firefox extension which let me use them there the extensibility factor won me over.

P.S. To JJJJJ - You've said several times how much you like IE7. Just wondering what you liked about it and how you would compare the new features to other browsers.

It's good to see competition breaking the browser stagnation.
