480268 2006-08-23 15:24:00 Is there a way to use iTunes for the iPod without having to install that annoying Quicktime software. I mean, I don't like QT and I never use it. And I'd love to un-install it.
Thanks,
Bazman (6587)
480269 2006-08-23 18:37:00 Well thats a good ?

Even tho u can uninstall QT after. But I know what u mean. I dont use either.

Since I dont buy anything using Itunes, I just use Winamp and the Mllipod plugin, if u use an Ipod.

I've done it heaps of times before so don't don't worry about it screwing with anything else on your PC and iTunes should still work fine.

Cheers

iTunes uses and requires QuickTime. I suspect that you've only uninstalled QuickTime Player (the user-visible front end to QuickTime) but left the rest of it installed.

So do you use Winamp to upload to and delete music from your ipod? And what's the Mllipid plugin? Where can I find it?

480273 2006-08-24 08:33:00 This (http://www.mlipod.com/) is Mlipod.

It only works with Winamp 5+.

It lets u copy to and from an Ipod. And play whatever MP3s on an Ipod

Nothing else. Like what Itunes can do, like buy MP3's online etc.

You can also format an Ipod with this plugin. Thru Winamp's prefs.
