480851 2006-08-26 12:05:00 i have run xoftspy, is that what you mean? is there a better program i can use? it just did it again, getting a pain to have to reboot so i can go back online, has only just happened today, should i do a system restore to yesterday or day before? maybe that will fix the problem, thanks
Hi Lisa. You can have your HijackThis log analysed via the HJT analysis URL posted in my signature. Anti-malware software includes antivirus and anti-adware / spyware, but I believe you have all of those as you appeared to be using Windows One Care (though I am not sure how effective it is). For more information on malwares, visit PressF1's FAQ on faqf1.net.nz

As of the error message that you have posted there, I am sorry but I have no clue whatsoever.

Cheers :)

480852 2006-08-26 12:13:00 hey, thanks for your reply, have done the hijack this log and pasted it into the link in your message, and deleted what it sugested, (only 3 things) i dont have windows onecare, started to download it a while ago then gave up when i found out it was used instead of nortons and was a fairly huge download aswell so didnt end up getting it, thanks for trying to help tho :) maybe someone else can help with this?, have managed to be online a bit longer this time i think tho 25 mins so far pretty sure it was failing to load web pages by now the last 4 times i got connection hung. so heres hoping something i have done has fixed it. will keep u updated. thanks lisamarie01 (6731)
480853 2006-08-26 12:31:00 When your internet becomes inactive, can you ping any websites? Who is your ISP? Are you living in a rural area?

Cheers :)
Renmoo (66)
480854 2006-08-26 12:41:00 heya im with xtra, nope not rural, dont think its my isp thats the problem seems i get that message first then i click ok or whatever it is to close and almost instantly i get messsages saying the web page i was trying to load didnt work, i still get the two little monitors at the bottom saying im connected, but accordign to anything im trying to view i have no connection, and when i click on the connection it wont bring it up so only way to disconnect is to reboot. does anyone know an easier way to disconnect? lol, i may have fixed the problem tho cause i have been online almost an hr without it dying, currently running a w32blaster worm tool to see if i have that. lisamarie01 (6731)
480855 2006-08-26 12:52:00 Your hijackthis log looks clean.
Have a read of this:
forumz.tomshardware.com

The issue they describe looks almost identical so it's worth trying the fix, which is closing a few open ports, a good idea anyway.
