| 480758 | 2006-08-26 01:25:00 | Hello people, I'm having a monster of a hard drive problem, so before I start at the beginning here are my system specs. XP Prof. AMD athlon 64 x2 4800+ cpu asus a8n-sli premium motherboard 2gb corsair ram 74gb raptor boot drive 600gb sata raid video hard drive so here's what happened a few days ago I was hit with bravesentry maleware that let a few others like it in my computer. after removing all of it's components, and everything else that came with it, things got worse. Programs wouldn't open, start up and shut down became incredibly long, and window became unstable. Now I figured I might just try XP repair, nothing happened. So next I decided I would transfer any valuable data over to the 600 drive, wipe the 74 drive and reinstall XP on the 74 drive. Now I have XP installed but in "my computer" the d drive has become inaccessible stating that "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" another thing is that when I go into disk management under computer management I have another an extra drive with 280gb. my question is how do I access my 600 drive and where did this extra 280 come from. If you could help out it would be most appreciated. |
