| 481852 | 2006-09-01 08:11:00 | Friends, I have this strange experience: I bought for my 2 daughters 2 identical notebooks: Compaq Presario M2000. They came with only 256 MB RAM, so installed in both of them another 512 MB today. I looked under control panel > system properties > general and found two different processor speeds: one reads: HP Mobile AMD Sempron (tm) Processor 3000+ 789 MHz, 640 MB of RAM Physical Address Extension and the other: HP Mobile AMD Sempron (tm) Processor 3000+ 1.79 GHz, 640 MB of RAM Physical Address Extension Why this difference??? Is 640 MB RAM what you would expect? Cheers Johan |

And the lower the battery charge the more Power Saving features take over, turning off devices, throtteling down the cpu speed (even when you are asking it to go hard) reducing the screen brightness.... |
