481814 2006-09-01 02:24:00 Does it have an AGP slot?
Does it have a PCI-E slot?

The Dell website should say, otherwise you could just rip'er open and have a squiz.

481818 2006-09-01 05:29:00 Ok, I just looked on the Dell website and it says PCI-E or intergrated, so you can put a PCI-E GFX card in, turn off the intergrated and install the drivers and you should be away.

Unless it comes with a GFX card which you will have to remove, but this is unlikely

481819 2006-09-01 14:49:00 ok, how do you turn the integrated off?

481820 2006-09-01 14:54:00 There will be an option somewhere in the BIOS, but you will NEED a dedicated GFX card before you turn it off The_End_Of_Reality (334)
481821 2006-09-01 19:02:00 So, I add the card then remove the integrated, then install the drivers for the new card?

and how do i access the bios to find this option?

481822 2006-09-01 19:23:00 Well u cant remove the integrated card, since its on the motherboard.

To get into the BIOS, u press F1,F2,F10, or the delete key.

Or it could be ctrl-F2. It may tell u what key/s to press when u boot it up on the bottom/top of the screen.

You install the video card, disable the onboard video in the BIOS, then install the videocard drivers for the card you've just installed.
