| 481588 | 2006-08-31 05:18:00 | I have a PC that keeps losing the network, well it actually loses bindings. TCP/IP is there, the Network card is there but bindings disappear and she loses the internet. Its simple enough to get it back to how it should be but beats me why it keeps doing it. It is a fairly elderly PC but no problems with it, running Win98 SE, malware free. |

Bindings - you know how in Win98 you go to Network via Control Panel, and it has the card and TCP/IP, well it should have the card bound as well - like: TCP/IP ->Realtek xxx whatever model. But it loses it every week or so. And therefore it stops talking to the router, which causes her to ring me and tell me "her email isn't working again". |

" But it doesn't, they still show, just not bound. I've used and fixed Win98 a lot and I never saw this before....:eek: |

| 481593 | 2006-09-01 07:58:00 | yeah, its nothing to new. easy enough to get around as you usually have the networking bound by another protocol. still i doubt its the problem as the bindings shouldn't disappear randomly. |
