| 481828 | 2006-09-01 03:31:00 | Something strange happened to one of my PCs. First it suddenly crashed, so I turned it off. Next thing I know after a short time it starting emitting static sounds even though it was off. Any idea of the problem? | jeffreyyan (719) | ||
| 481829 | 2006-09-01 04:29:00 | Have you tried unplugging it? :D "Turning off" a modern computer with the front panel button, or by software, leaves the power supply running, but with only the 5V 1A standby output energised. That could leave the modem (which has a speaker which could give noises) running. | Graham L (2) | ||
