481687 2006-08-31 21:14:00 I have windows explorer open.
I open a directory.
I open a folder.
I select a list of file names.
I click on copy.

They won't copy.

Is there any way I can copy the file names and paste them into an e-mail?
I don't want to copy the files. Just the names.

Size and date would be helpful but not essential.

481689 2006-08-31 21:30:00 Right click, rename then copy the selected text, as for the size and date, I am not sure...

Hmm, we could do this the DOS way :nerd: to get the size, date and names :nerd:

Navigate to the directory of these files using
cd C:\then your folders\like this\till you get to the folder you want here

Hit enter

once in that directory, type:

dir > textfile.txt

The textfile can be called anything. What this will do is dump all the date, size, names into this text file...

481693 2006-09-01 01:17:00 I'd second The_End_Of_Reality's method. People too often underestimate the control that can be gained only through a console (even the awful DOS one). TGoddard (7263)

Incidentally good ol' Robo (remember Robo?) put me on to that app years ago so I knew it had to be good. :p
