| 481537 | 2006-08-30 23:52:00 | If I strip down an OS by removing unused apps will it make any difference to start up or operating speeds. And also is there any noticable difference say, between a 40GB hdd and 80GB both with the same OS and apps on each. The same question for Hdd speed. Is there a noticable difference ??? |

You may notice a difference after changing HDD if its writing / reading / transferring speeds are quite different to the old one, e.g. a much higher RPM, a much larger cache etc. You notice the difference when Windows / large games / large applications are being loaded. :p :p :p |
