482431 2006-09-03 23:38:00 I'm in the market for a new or good 2nd hand LCD monitor, 19" or larger, mainly for home office use, occasional gaming, budget $500+. Until recently, all I ever wanted was a Dell 24" Ultrasharp but a few hours browsing the net has made me wonder if that is still the best buy around. Anyone got any helpful advice ? Steve2006 (11089)

Increase your budget or settle for smaller.

482435 2006-09-04 06:37:00 You can get a 19 inch widescreen for $478 (www.dse.co.nz)

Has DVI and 2 VGA connections, why 2 I dont know.

Works fine here.

Thats if you're in NZ

482438 2006-09-04 10:41:00 There's an HP L1925 19" LCD on the table next to me in this room, and I am very impressed with it. It is actually with a Mac computer "on loan" here, but I've hooked it up to my Windows/Linux machine, and at the default res of 1280 x 1024? it is very sharp and clear. If it is typical of LCD monitors, my next monitor will be an LCD! rumpty (2863)
