482458 2006-09-04 01:31:00 Would it be unreasonable to expect a 1GHz-1.2GHz P3 or Athlon to compair favourably to a 1.4GHz P4? Mirddes (10)

482461 2006-09-04 04:16:00 Yes, it would. you can't even get P3s above 1GHz for that matter ;) The_End_Of_Reality (334)

I think you'll find that the P3 made it all the way to 1.4GHz ;)

482464 2006-09-04 07:45:00 the p3 and atho will go quicker than the p4. the early p4's where complete dogs exspecially when useing sdram. tweak'e (69)
482465 2006-09-06 03:09:00 when they mention 1.4ghz p4 as min spec are they refering to the early ones? Mirddes (10)

good question. most likly its just a generic spec ie "your pc is under xyz mgz therefore its not our problem the prog dosn't work"

i never really hold much faith in those minimum specs anyway. some progs will run on a pc half the speed will others require double the speed to run at any useable speed.
