483082 2006-09-09 03:26:00 200MB? This will get used up in half an hour time for me, I does not recomment that plan to you or you kill the bill at the end of the month. Go for at least 5GB minimum for a month. REASONABLE? That's my minimum usage in a month. Only for web pages and small downloads. PedalSlammer (8511)
483083 2006-09-09 04:17:00 Thanks a lot guys, you’ve saved my bacon.

It looks like Slingshot may be best for me. (I don’t feel guilty transferring my tolls away from Telecom.) ;)

For those viewing who may also be looking at Broadband I worked out that Telecom’s generous offer of 200meg for $29.95 actually works out at $45.95 for 1gig or $85.95 for 3 gigs when they already have my toll account!

On the other hand Slingshot will give me 3 gig’s for $29.95 if I transfer my tolls.

I think I’ll shout myself a few beers with the $56 I can save. ;)

Further, it seems that Clear-net have just matched Telecom so they can get lost too. :groan:

483084 2006-09-09 05:16:00 Just another thing with Slingshot tolls, if a family member or friend is also with Slingshot Tolls you can talk for 200 minutes free per month to that member, that is the advantage over "Telegone" Anytime Plan Lawrence (2987)
483085 2006-09-09 06:52:00 Thanks for that Lawrence .

I do have a concern though . :annoyed:

I can't find the downside of Slingshot!!!

The Helpdesk has been good for me.
And the email help response is also OK.

When I informed Slingshot managment of a PF1 thread complaining about Slingshot, they replied with a post right here on PF1 and helped the person having the problem - AND - they credited my account with $10 along with a nice 'thank you' email.

No ISP is without problems, but from what I have experienced myself, and read here on PF1, Slingshot is OK. And as you know, the price is right: 3 Gb for $30.

Awhile back when I saw CEO Annette Presley on telly, with her awful makeup and bimbo blonde hair and annoying personality, I decided never to join Slingshot, and here ai am, a happy customer. ;) :p
