2006-09-06 08:39:00 | Hi guys Both Spybot and AVG tells me the database is out of date (so many days old, etc.etc) - even after updating it on a daily basis. I've just done it again and AVG shows a 9/5/2006 dataset while Spybot shows the correct date but says the signatures are more than 40 days old. Weird. Any help? I did a search thru previous posts and couldn't find anything so forgive me if I am repeating a previous post. sarel

2006-09-06 10:57:00 | Is your computer set to the correct time/date, timezone and NZ date format? Eg; DD,MM,YYYY instead of the American MM,DD,YYYY. | Jen (38) | |

2006-09-06 22:21:00 | With AVG yr database wuld be the date it was created not the date you downloaded it.Have no idea on SB one tho thats very strange. | kjaada (253) | |
2006-09-07 00:00:00 | Are you sure that it is not asking you to download a new build of AVG/Spybot? I had this situation recently with either AVG or Zonealarm (can't remember which). | theother1 (3573) | |
2006-09-07 00:43:00 | No - it is clearly about the d/l of new signatures - I did a rebuild on both some weeks ago too. sarel

2006-09-07 06:17:00 | What happens if you manually download the AVG update and install it yourself? Does that result in a correct definition date? | Jen (38) | |
2006-09-07 20:05:00 | Jen Nope, the same result. Seems to me there I need to delete some old kind of signature or similar file. I still think perhaps I should reinstall - I mean it is after all only AVG and SB sarel
