483516 2006-09-10 12:31:00 Trev, you are referring to a file you have already saved. My question is how you save the file in the first place, from the Google page itself. Strommer (42)
483517 2006-09-10 14:25:00 This works pretty well with windows.

Sweet. Thanks Siani - just what I was looking for. I have saved it to BookMarks (Firefox). If anyone else is going to try this, be sure Java Script is not disabled in your browser.

483519 2006-09-10 20:20:00 The blog comments on the page given by Sinai above are interesting. E.g.:

Sure, but there's already a button on the right (for that example link and nearly every other Google video I view) that allows me to download for:
Mac/PC
Video iPod
Sony PSP

What does this bookmarklet do that Google's own built-in download button does not?

That "download button" is no where to be seen on my PC. Firefox.

BTW, I managed to download a couple of short videos and they play on Nero Showtime but without sound. Looks like I will have to try Media Player Classic and read through the blogs.

No wonder you couldn't see the download button. I use IE6

I also have IE6 and Netscape 8.1 and still do not see it.
Can you do a screenshot or at least explain precisely where it is located? Thanks,

483523 2006-09-10 22:58:00 Definitely out of the Twilight Zone: I see it now. Gotta get away from :stare: the screen :waughh: and into the sunshine. Thanks Trev. I should have screenshotted it myself. Oh well, yesterday my friend was looking through a notebook for a printed telephone list, going through it 3 times, and then I grabbed it and found it in 3 seconds. Strange how these things happen.:p Strommer (42)
483524 2006-09-11 01:03:00 Just an aside, try M-Player to view flv files. It seems to play everything else i.e. bin files, files in the middle of a download etc. vader (11117)

With M-Player can you enlarge the video screen size, or are we stuck with the small size as in FLV Player?
