| 484137 | 2006-09-12 06:53:00 | I'm having problems connecting to the internet through my network - I run a ADSL modem through my desktop pc, then have a laptop connected to the desktop via a serial cable. the laptop can share files & printers etc. the only problem is I can't use the internet although the icon comes up in the taskbar that I have internet connection?? is there a simple solution??? | KB's (11126) | ||
| 484138 | 2006-09-12 07:16:00 | i assume you mean you can't get the internet to work on the laptop. ditch the serial connection (which is far slower than adsl) and use ethernet or usb. |
