483778 2006-09-10 20:17:00 I have an infrequent error that seems to be recurring more frequently now. The computer will reboot in the middle of web browsing. That seems to be the only time.

It may be the graphic card and when I looked in the hardware settings there were two entries,

Gigabyte radeon 9250 128mb and
Gigabyte radeon 9250 Secondary

Why 2?

Everything seems ot be working OK, is there a way of testing the card?

On WinXPSP2 with Athlon 3500

One is the actual driver and the other is the WDM driver, its got nothing to do with 2 screens.

483781 2006-09-11 02:29:00 Oh I see, I thought it was something to do with 2 screens with the secondary part... thats all...

But the WDM drivers are no cause for alarm

I was thinking of the monitors under device manager  :p

Control Panel - System - Advanced - Startup and Recovery/Settings

483783 2006-09-11 05:47:00 What is your PSU wattage and how old is it? Also how many things have you got running off it? PSU's are notorious for doing silly things like this, esp. if they are older or a little underpowered for your system. I added a Radeon 9600XT to my P4 set-up and it ran fine... at first. Then about a month later it started rebooting and then stopped booting up altogether. It would test the RAM and then just stop. I fixed this problem by removing a case fan and one CD drive from the PSU load. Do all the other things like virus checks and spyware checks etc, and if all else fails, start unplugging things. Just a suggestion. Good luck! vader (11117)
