My friend bought an AM2 cpu and the cooler looks exactly like my 939 one. Considering AM2 is practically the same CPU as 939 but with newer memory controller, the same cooler would be fine. which is probably why yours looks so much like a 939 one :D
As for chipset fans, oh, I agree. Noisy little things. Mine buzzes like mad for a few minutes at startup then eventually quiets down. I was going to go passive except that it's located right between my PCI-E slots at the end, so It's directly under my video card. Hence I need one about 10mm high or less :stare: which I haven't been able to find. |
