| 484142 | 2006-09-12 06:24:00 | My friend is trying to run a dedicated Battlefield 1942 server on his Gasp internet with little success... The internet is connected via a wireless bridge which feeds into a linksys WRT54GC wireless router, and connects to his PC's. we have opened port 14567 in the router for battlefield, enabled DMZ and while I can see his game in the lobby of the xtra games browser (I myself have Xtra ADSL), neither me or anyone else can actually connect to it. I can run a server on mine and it works perfectly fine, my friend and other people can connect. I have done exactly the same thing on his as I have done on mine but it just refuses to work! we have tried without the linksys router, but it still doesn't work. even tried a different port but that doesn't work either. Can anyone throw any light on the matter?? Thanks in advance |
