2006-09-11 00:12:00 | Windows Messenger has recently kept 'popping up' while I am using Outlook Express. Is there anyway I can configure it to stay hidden? Hoping someone can help.

2006-09-11 00:44:00 | Does uninstalling it actually get rid of it? I found I had to manually delete it from the Program Files, and every time Automatic Updates updated, it would be back again! | vader (11117) | |
2006-09-11 00:56:00 | Unfortunately this program is not listed in 'add/remove programs' . Messing around with 'RegEdit exe' is beyond my capabilities - is there an easier way?

2006-09-11 01:04:00 | Oooops, Sorry, I have found the add/remove 'windows component' part - but what do I do next? Half the boxes are ticked - I don't want to remove anything I shouldn't ... Do I untick all of the boxes - except Windows Messenger?

2006-09-11 01:23:00 | I just delete it from my Program Files. It works until the next update. Or you can use something like the TuneUp Utilities, System Optimiser, which seems to do a good job of disabling it, and gives you the option of re-enabling at anytime. | vader (11117) | |
