484295 2006-09-13 08:45:00 I'm trying to get a Japanese laptop up & running again (Toshiba dynabook SS LX something) but even though it has a nvidia graphics sticker on it & everest detects the graphics as a 6200 go, the nvidia drivers don't detect it (tried both mobility drivers & normal ones).

Why would that happen? Does anyone know of a way to fix it?

I would try downloading all the drivers off the toshiba website, but the only one that shows the dynabook series is in Japanese & doesn't have an english version that I can find.

From Nvidias website.

NVIDIA Mobile GPUs (GeForce 6 Go, GeForce FX Go, GeForce4 Go, GeForce2 Go, Quadro4 Go GL, Quadro FX Go) are not supported in the NVIDIA reference drivers. Please consult your notebook's manufacturer for the latest driver.

So where did you download a driver from?

484297 2006-09-14 02:57:00 Thanks. I'll try that soon. If it works, I'll just have to find audio drivers (and perhaps wireless and modem drivers, but they aren't important) Greven (91)
484298 2006-09-14 03:19:00 That worked a charm. thanks

Anyone have any idea where I can get audio drivers? It is Intel AC97 onboard sound, but intel don't give out drivers for their AC97 devices
