| 484291 | 2006-09-13 05:59:00 | I'm wondering if anyone knows how to stop some programs on your computer from starting up as you start your computer. For example, I have AOL messenger and I want to know how to stop it from starting up as my computer starts up etc...please help! Ira |

| 484292 | 2006-09-13 06:22:00 | If you have Windows XP do the following: Click on Start, then Run, type in msconfig and hit enter which will bring up the msconfig window. Click on the startup tab to show the window with all programs listed in startup. Scroll through until you find the AOL messenger and uncheck the box next to it. Click save and exit. |
