| 484204 | 2006-09-12 11:28:00 | Hi there ! I just bought a new copmuter to play some of the latest games and also run some 3d software like Lightwave etc . I installed Splinter Cell : Pandora Tommorow and Tony hawks pro skater 3 . Both those games have no visuals but only audio! I played Call Of Cuty 1 perfectly fine on my computer but Call of duty 2 lags quite a bit even after i scaled half the graphics down . Below are my specs ive blindly copied from a print out of trade me ( the page i bought my computer from) CPU: Intel pentium D Processor 3Ghzx2 Dual Core LGA775 800FSB 2MB L2Cachex2 RAM: 1GB(2x512MB) DDR2 667 Dual Channel MOBO: Asus P5PL2 Intel 945PL Chipset LGA775 ATX 1066FSB Pentium D DDR2-533 PCIEX16 BGLAN VGA Card: 512MP Geforce 7300LE TVout DVI OPP: DVD Writer Dual Layer 16x HDD: 160GB SATA2 HDD 8MB Cache if anyone can tell me how to solve those problems . . i'll be too greatfull !! thanks a bunch ppl ! | 484205 | 2006-09-12 23:05:00 | First things What driver are you running for the video card go here and do this start/ run/ type dxdiag/ enter/ run all tests under the graphics tab and look for problems and conflicts also note the version you have. |

| 484209 | 2006-09-13 05:20:00 | If you want good gaming, you need to spend a lot of $$$ and a 7300LE is not good, the MINIMUM card I would suggest is a 7600GT the price of these is about $350 and that is from a reputable place like Ascent, even my 7800GTX gets turned over by games like Oblivion and FEAR... and that was an $800 card when I got it... :dogeye: | The_End_Of_Reality (334) | ||
| 484210 | 2006-09-13 07:28:00 | It is a low end card, see here for rankings: www23.tomshardware.com However, you should be able to play those games with it. So do as has been suggested and run the tests... Updating both your chipset drivers and the graphics driver can help too. |
