| 484902 | 2006-09-24 12:27:00 | I just hope ISP's dont port shape port 21 (FTP), but I am pleased that ISPs are port shaping p2p/torrent traffic as p2p/torrent traffic is a waste of bandwidth & costing ISPs money. Orcon did this for a while last year... You'd switch to FTP to update some web pages (on their own servers!) and see only about 5 kilobytes/s. They also did it with the NNTP port, but after a few weeks of grumbling suddenly the shaping went away.... |
