1397247 2015-03-24 23:59:00 Jeremy Clarkson has been sacked More Here (www.stuff.co.nz). Rumours are Chris Evans the Ginger Twot from Radio will be asked to take over, if he does I won't be watching, he has been an idiot from the first time I saw him on TV in TGIF on channel 4 over there.

With both Hammond and May due to have their contracts run out lets hope the threesome will sign with someone else and reinvent the show. It seems the BBC want to keep it going but the appeal has gone with the sacking.

Rant over.

1397248 2015-03-25 01:53:00 I used to watch it.
I got bored with the performance car bits, the celebrity driving bit and his meglomania.

I want my steak and chips....what a knob. Like that tosser here in NZ a while ago, the MP.

I quite like James May. And some of his other programs.

Anyway there are some great programs but sometimes going on and on and on is not the thing, gets stale after a while.

Think 20 yrs ago for instance, what do you want to see still running? Nah....
(and those drivelly soap operas, especially that one that's been going on since the middle ages...but no-one in this house insists on watching those thankfully)

1397249 2015-03-25 02:15:00 Hopefully the "Terrible Three" will form their own company and go work for another Channel :) Zippity (58)
1397250 2015-03-25 02:21:00 Guess it's the end of Top Gear. Wont be the same without them. Looks at the success or lack of of Top Gear USA, AU with their wannabe presenters.. paulw (1826)
1397251 2015-03-25 02:43:00 I think the BBC will live to regret the sacking of Clarkson, but they backed themselves into a corner and there was no other way out for them, without losing face. Sad really as the show had its moments ruup (1827)
1397252 2015-03-25 05:49:00 They should not have sacked him while beheading was an option.

;)

1397253 2015-03-25 06:11:00 Probably already been signed up by another channel. Don't expect him to disappear. blanco (11336)
1397254 2015-03-25 06:57:00 The BBC are living in the past. They seem to have the mentality of the boss being all-powerful and underlings absolutely inferior

In the modern era the boss is as much an employee as anyone else. You could say that Clarkson, the income earner, was employing someone to be his manager.

If Clarkson took a physical swipe at another employee, the appropriate resolution should have been a civil court. The BBC should have stayed out of the issue other than to fine Clarkson if his contract permitted it

1397255 2015-03-25 07:33:00 Clarkson was behaving like a little diva, thinking himself to be the centre of the universe, and with total disregard for others.

Good riddance to him.

1397256 2015-03-25 08:26:00 Think in any job if you hit another employee you're gone

Some of the TG episodes are good but most are a bit too engineered and plain silly

Think if they tried to carry it on with out the present cast it will flop

Would rather watch Fifth Gear
