1396843 2015-03-20 04:46:00 Hey i know the police use P25 implementation for security . However i want to know if there are any other way i can listen to them , and any other emergency services which i may have interest in listening .

Also is there any ios / android app for nz police. I have an app buts its for countries like USA and other Countries .

1396844 2015-03-20 05:45:00 The P25 is digital radio but the Police also encrypt it as well , so you aren't going to be able to listen in there. This only applies to Auckland , Wellington and Christchurch. All other areas still use the old analogue radio. Fire have a number of their own channels , but use the police channel where fire channels don't have coverage. Ambulance use their own sole use channel.

There was a site that was streaming a police channel but I think it was closed down. No apps as far as i know either.
